Becoming a Police Officer?

Recently, I had the interest of police officer. My current local palladium has a review of the civil service followed by an interview. Candidates who score the highest get priority over those who did not favor as well. I've been looking at this for some time. I came into contact with a counselor (college) to help me to maybe finish my degree in criminal justice instead of history. I plan on making a volunteer this summer to take aikido and jiu-jitsu, and I ALONGS several of the tour. Graduate in 2009 (fall) and now live in Texas. I 'm in the extremely fit, weighing 161 to bodyfat 9%. I wish it were my future, and I don 't mind where I live as long as it' s in Texas. My question is, is there a demand for Texas LEO 's? I really make my career in the local LE. How landed the job?
